The Muni Udate

The Muni Udate
Good Morning,

It was another very busy week at The Muni. The weather was beautiful leading up to the storm with heavy winds early Saturday morning. We lost a large tree next to #11 tee box which we are in the process of removing this weekend.

I have been working on changing the blog on our website to something more useful in the form of video tips or maintenance practices. I've prepared the first blog post for the golf course this past week. I shared it on our Facebook page and am still trying to change the website blog format to be able to post it there. Moving forward I will be sharing a video each week to help educate our golfing community. The first video I have created touches on the topic of properly repairing pitch marks on the putting surface.

We had some great conversation at the golf board meeting last Monday evening. The city manager attended the meeting and gave the board an update on our cart path renovation plan we have been discussing for the past year. We are very hopeful to move forward with this project in the near future. Our cart paths are 25 years old and definitely in need of an update. I appreciate all of the feedback I have received from our golfers and I am anxious to get this plan in place.

I am attaching some photos of the golf course over the past week as well as the update I shared with the golf board last Monday evening. The staff at The Muni is very thankful for each and every one of you that chooses to spend your recreation time with us. We truly enjoy seeing your smiling faces walk through the doors of the clubhouse. Thank you for supporting us.

I briefly touched on the irrigation system last week and we completed a handful of repairs this past week to address some minor problems. The irrigation system is very complex and I am very appreciative for the approval to have completed some of our upgrades in the past couple of years. Sometimes it is more like an out of site, out of mind situation but an efficient system is crucial in the day to day operation of the golf course.

Enjoy the remainder of this beautiful weekend. We look forward to seeing you if The Muni is on your to do list this week. Please reach out if you have questions or would like additional information on a topic.
